Fritz began tattooing in 1989 in the college town of Greenville North Carolina where he was an art major at East Carolina University. After learning the tattoo critical disciplines of drawing, color theory, and composition he moved to Albemarle North Carolina to open his first shop. After a year there he moved to Charlotte and spent his formative years in a 'street shop' where he did a mix of custom and pre-designed art. In 1996 he moved to Colorado where he spent 7 1/2 years in very busy street shop; this time learning the business aspects of tattooing. In 2004 he moved to SW metro to open his 3rd career shop; this time focusing mainly on custom work. With all those years in street shops, he developed competency in most tattoo styles, but mainly enjoys Fineline, Black and Grey, Blackwork, Geometric, Traditional Japanese, Neo-Traditional, and Colored Illustrative. Fritz is also a self-proclaimed Cover-up wizard. Fritz's great love in tattooing is teaching; bringing over a dozen successful tattooers into the fold. Fritz is married, loves French bulldogs, fishing, motorcycle riding, and creating 3D art out of metal and wood. His favorite 2D art media is pen and ink illustration and acrylic paint.
